Bagas Degol

Greetings Dub Investigator,

The holiday dubbing has kept me pretty busy, so I haven't been able to post anything for a dub.

A good friend of mine, an Irish fella, asked me if there was any bagpipe or Celtic dub I knew of. I knew of none, so I investigated. After a bit of dubbing around, I found a great band called Bagas Degol. I listened to some of their tracks on LastFm and immediately bought their album on Amazon. I suggest you do the same if you are any kind of dubber like I.

Bagas Degol are from Cornwall. They dub local, but had the smarts to sell their mp3s all over the place. The album is really quite incredible. Despite being your regular Cornish white men, these guys are massive. They dubbed what I thought no one would either think of or be able to pull off. The album "Tonight We're Going To Party like It's 1399" is extremely well produced, and extremely unique. If you like On-U, you should love this.

All I can say is listen to them. If you like them, buy their album. If not, dub it anyway, because they're awesome and deserve lots of money for their dub.

Cha No Aji / Little Tempo

Greetings Dub Investigator,

This album is actually a soundtrack or "OST" to the film Cha No Aji or "Taste Of Tea".

The film is directed by Katsuhito Ishii, and the soundtrack is dubbed by Little Tempo.

There is only one true dub song on there, but I had an incredibly hard time finding this album, so I feel I must dub it with those who are looking for it.

I will likely be updubbing a few OSTs every now and then simply for that reason.

But on with the dub. This album simply feels good. There are a few weird interjections, but dub the film, and you will appreciate them. But the real reason I'm dubbing this album with you is the last song. Probably my personal favorite dub of all time, you just have to dub it for yourself to understand.

But all that aside, watch the film as well (preferably on a Sunday). It is a great film, strange as it is. ENJOY!!!

A very good remix, though not with the elegance of "Dub Side Of The Moon", it holds its own for sure. It's groovy and heavy, just the way we like it, right dubbers?

Greetings Dub Investigator,

Today I bring you the best cover album of all time. It is dubbed "Dub Side Of The Moon". If you can't tell from the name, it is a dub cover of Pink Floyd's "Dark Side Of The Moon".

Dark Side Of The Moon is one of my favorite albums of all time. It is one of those albums that allow you to sit down and listen to the whole thing straight through and enjoy every second of its perfectly composed beauty.

Dub Side Of The Moon is no different. I actually can't dub which album I prefer. The Easy Star All-Stars are by far some of the most creative guys around. The fact that they made this album, and pulled it off with flying dubs, speaks wonders for their talent.

There's really nothing else I can say. As far as I'm concerned its one of the best albums out there (not just dub). So listen to it, but not before hearing the original "Dark Side Of The Moon". Enjoy the rainbow of joy that will spill into your eardubs as you eat this delicious sonic cake.

Here is yet another classic dub compilation for your listening pleasure.

With tracks selected from the first 29 Blood & Fire albums, this truly is dub at its roots.

This is in my humble dubpinion (that was a stretch) one of the BEST dub compilations I have come across. The delay is to perfection, and the songs are all individual, yet the album as a whole creates a vast dub landscape that sucks you into a headspace of its own. Slap some dubphones on your bad self and dub it in the dark, cuz there are many sounds to be discovered in this one.

In honor of my first post, I have decided to provide you a link to the album that got me into dub.

This is one of the most classic among classics in the way of dub compilations. There isn't a song on here that doesn't put me in a good dub. Zion Gate Dub is the first dub I ever dubbed. It sets the tone of the album, as well as the genre. But by all means don't stop there. Every track has something to dub, and every dub lends you its positivity.
